The Grading also had a number of historical firsts for Drake Judo Club including our first Brown Belt which has been achieved by Club Captain Jack Murphy, we also quadrupled the amount of Green belts within our club. We also graded players from our Tavistock School and Sir John Hunt school clubs

Friday evening saw our first round of examinations with some of our Tavistock SHO grades

Congratulations to all of you who took part and to all of you who passed, the standard we have been told by our examiners is getting higher and higher which is very gratifying to hear.

We then had assessments at our Saturday morning SHO class with a number of players being assessed, we have at least another 5 or 6 to do over the next few weeks

Well done boys!

We then moved onto our main Sunday Seminar which was hosted by our Tavistock Dojo, we had juniors and seniors grading from 1st mon up to 16th mon. The standard was again very high and both our examiners mentioned how high the quality was.

Many thanks to the Uke's who were used throughout the day, anyone who has taken a grading before knows the value of a good Uke

Many thanks to our 2 examiners Mike Nugent 3rd Dan & Ross Taylor 2nd Dan, thanks also to Jess who took all the pics
